Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery (L&D)/LDRP with a night shift in Florida. The assignment includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal obstetrical care.

The role requires FL- or compact-state licensure, BLS/ACLS/NRP, PALS (within 30 days), and 2+ years of L&D/Mother&Baby experience. Housing within 50 miles of the facility must be secured prior to start.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in FL or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
• PALS required or within 30 days of start
• AWHONN certification preferred (can be completed onsite)
• Minimum 2 years recent L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby experience
• AHCA certification required for FL placement
• No certifications expiring within first 30 days of assignment
• No 90+ day employment gaps within past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit providing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal obstetrical care
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a)
• 13-week assignment
• Flexible floating to other units as facility needs require
• Provide shift accountability for safe delivery of obstetrical patient care using the nursing process
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering care
• Delegate and supervise care provided by assigned personnel
• Must secure housing within 50 miles of the facility prior to acceptance and provide the address
• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
• RTO requests must be less than one week
