Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery and Med Surg in Montana. The role requires 3+ years of L&D experience and the ability to float to Med Surg, with day shifts and a 13-week assignment.

You must hold an active Montana RN license or compact license, and certifications BLS, NRP, and STABLE. Primary duties include monitoring maternal and fetal well‑being, assisting deliveries, and providing postpartum education.

Qualifications

• Experience in Labor & Delivery required.
• Med Surg floating capability required.

Responsibilities

• Primarily works as an OB RN in Labor & Delivery with required floating to the Med Surg floor when OB is closed.
• Day shift schedule with (3) 12-hour shifts per week.
• 13-week assignment.
• Monitors maternal and fetal well-being and manages labor progression.
• Assists with deliveries and responds to obstetric emergencies.
• Administers medications and interprets fetal monitoring strips.
• Performs cervical exams within scope of practice.
• Prepares patients for operative deliveries.
• Provides postpartum education and emotional support to patients and families.
