American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift in Washington. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency, with active WA or compact RN licensure and required certifications.

The role includes high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care in a teaching hospital setting. Responsibilities include circulating for deliveries, managing medications, and floating to sister facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Labor and delivery management skills including assisting with high risk deliveries, circulating and recovering C-sections, and sterile vaginal exams.
• Pain management skills including epidural anesthesia, pain assessment, and IV PCA use.
• Experience with fetal monitoring and antepartum/postpartum care.

Responsabilités

• Attend deliveries in an 8-labor room unit with 4 triage rooms.
• Circulate for C-sections, OB-GYN, post-op and scrub duties.
• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including triage, antepartum, and postpartum services.
• Float between sister facilities as needed.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with 1:1–3 staffing ratios.
• Administer medications such as heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate

• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood and blood product administration, central line maintenance (CVC/PICC), anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensive administration, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Labor and delivery management skills including assisting with high risk deliveries, circulating and recovering C-sections, and sterile vaginal exams
• Pain management skills including epidural anesthesia, pain assessment, and IV PCA use
• Experience with fetal monitoring, IUPC placement and calibration, antepartum and postpartum care, and wound assessment/care
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Facility performs 200-300 births per month
• Patient diagnoses include labor and preterm labor
• Teaching hospital setting with high risk antepartum care
• Attends all deliveries including high risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery
• Circulate for C-sections, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, and scrub duties
• Staffing ratio of 1:1-3
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Floating required to Postpartum and possibly L&D at a sister facility
• Special procedures include blood/blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vac
• Medication administration includes heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including triage, antepartum, and postpartum services
• Expected to float between sister facilities as needed
• Must commit to working 1 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, or New Year's/New Year's Eve)
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Former permanent staff from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible after a 3-month separation
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities as permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem staff
