Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift in Greensboro, NC. The role requires a current NC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of L&D experience, with certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.

You will work 3x12 hour night shifts on a high-acuity unit and may travel to other Cone Health campuses as needed. Epic EMR experience is required, with duties including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum care, neonatal resuscitation, and involvement in

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Labor and delivery management including vaginal and C-section delivery assistance, fetal monitoring, and high-risk delivery support.
• Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Terbutaline.
• Experience caring for pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and VBAC management.
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed).

Responsibilities

• 18-bed Labor and Delivery unit.
• High-acuity laboring patient population.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holidays scheduled as needed.
• Float required to MAU, MBU, and OBSC, and potentially any Cone Health campus.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Uses Triton and SurgiCount systems.
• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management.
• Perform neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation.
• Assist with surgical procedures such as cervical cerclage, D&C, and tubal ligation.
• Support pain management including epidural anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration.
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no requests accepted after submission.
