American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night-shift travel assignment in South Carolina. Requires SC or compact RN license, travel experience, and Cerner charting proficiency.

Responsibilities include antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum care on a 3x12-hour night schedule with 1:2 patient ratios; potential for hospital-wide float within the facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (SC or compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM certifications required.
• AWHONN Beginner or Intermediate certification required, AWHONN Advanced preferred.
• 5 years of RN experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Cerner charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit coverage including Antepartum, Level I Nursery, and Mother/Baby.
• Facility averages 100-200 births per month.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00).
• 1:2 patient ratios.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• May float within the hospital; not to affiliate facilities.
• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring prior travel experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM certifications required
• AWHONN Beginner or Intermediate certification required, AWHONN Advanced preferred
• 5 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, including amnioinfusion, vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation, and hemorrhage/shock management
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood and blood products
• Experience with fetal monitoring, including recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and use of external and internal fetal monitoring

• Administer medications such as antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, pitocin, prostaglandins, and terbutaline
• Support postpartum recovery including cesarean section care, couplet care, and breastfeeding/lactation support
• Assist with pain management including epidural anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and PCA use
• Perform newborn assessments and neonatal care in the delivery room, including cord sample collection and ID/security banding
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previously employed staff must have a break in service of at least one year before returning
