Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP assignment. Requires BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications and AR/compact RN license. Travel nursing experience preferred with 3x12-hour night shifts and 1:2 patient ratios. Nursery, postpartum, and high-risk cases included.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (AR or compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Experience maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC) preferred.
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and infusion pump use.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit, covering all aspects of LDRP including nursery and postpartum care.
• Patient population includes antepartum, high-risk antepartum, labor & delivery, and mother/baby care.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00.
• Rotating weekend shifts required.
• Meditech charting system experience preferred.
• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation and scrub roles, and newborn care.
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives.
• Perform fetal monitoring including EFM and IUPC placement/calibration.
• Support lactation and breastfeeding education for new mothers.
• Provide newborn assessments, discharge teaching, and car seat education.
