American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ER RN for high-demand travel assignments. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years in emergency nursing and recent travel experience, with an active Indiana or compact license.

Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and CEN are required, with ENPC/SANE/TNCC/CCRN/CMSRN/RN-BC preferred. Meditech experience is strongly preferred. The role features night shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) in a STEMI/Stroke-certified ED, with a 1:4 patient ratio and

Qualifications

• Active IN state or compact RN license in-hand before start.
• Minimum 5 years ER nursing experience.
• Previous travel assignment experience required.
• Strong competencies in IV therapy, arterial/central lines, and dysrhythmia management.
• Experience with Meditech charting and STEMI/Stroke capable facilities.

Responsibilities

• Night shift, 3x12 hours from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Treat a combined adult/pediatric ED population with a 1:4 ratio.
• Support STEMI/Stroke certified facility and trauma care.
• Floating within scope as needed and use Meditech Expanse EMR.
• Provide care across trauma, cardiac, neuro, respiratory and psychiatric emergencies.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5+ years of ER experience and travel assignment experience.

Requirements

• Active IN state or compact RN license required in-hand prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, CEN
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, SANE, TNCC, CCRN, CMSRN, RN-BC
• Minimum 5 years of ER nursing experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
• Trauma Level I/II and community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of arterial/central lines
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Competency in managing neurological, respiratory, psychiatric, and orthopedic emergencies
• Driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric population
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• STEMI and Stroke certified facility
• Shock/trauma capabilities including gunshot wound management
• Floating within scope required if facility need arises
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies
• Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed
• Must be available to work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Christmas, New Year's Eve/New Year's
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Call-offs restricted to no more than one week
• Local candidates accepted within an 80-mile radius at local rate
• Pending state licenses are not accepted
