Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role in Missouri. MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years ER experience required. The position features shifts, strong acute care responsibilities, and opportunities for growth in a STEMI-certified trauma center.

Applicants should have BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/NIHSS; SANE certification is preferred and may be completed on site. Epic charting experience is advantageous, with travel and licensure reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

  • Active MO or compact RN license required.
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required.
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS.
  • SANE certification preferred, onsite completion available.
  • Experience in teaching/community hospitals and Level I/II centers preferred.
  • Charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a General Emergency Department serving adult/pediatric patients.
  • Maintain patient ratio of 1:4 and manage diverse emergencies.
  • Rotate 3x12 hour evening shifts (1p-1a and 3p-3a).
  • Provide care across a wide range of conditions including pediatrics and trauma.
  • Technical duties: IVs, phlebotomy, arterial/central lines, ventilator care.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, EKGs, dysrhythmia interpretation, vitals.
  • Practice triage, PPE/isolation, and neuro-trauma care as needed.
  • Competency with Epic charting and critical care protocols.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MO or compact license and at least 2 years of ER experience.

Requirements
  • Active MO or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
  • SANE certification preferred, with SANE certification available to complete onsite
  • Preferred experience in teaching hospitals, community hospitals, LTAC, and Level I/II Trauma Centers
  • Preferred charge nurse experience
Responsibilities
  • Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Rotating evening shifts (3x12 hours) between 1p-1a and 3p-3a
  • Preferred experience with Epic charting system
  • Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including pediatrics, respiratory infections, psychiatric emergencies, and traumatic injuries
  • Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of arterial and central lines
  • Experience with ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube insertion, and ABG interpretation preferred
  • Knowledge of emergency medications including IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and paralytics
  • Manage cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
  • Skilled in triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and orthopedic splinting
  • Experience with neuro-trauma, ICP monitoring, and spinal cord/traumatic brain injury care preferred
  • Facility is a STEMI certified center with Level I/II Trauma capabilities
  • Travel experience not required for candidates with 2+ years of ER experience
