Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for a night shift in North Carolina. An active NC or compact RN license and Epic EMR experience are required.

Responsibilities include ED care for adult and pediatric patients, with 1:4–5 patient ratios, on a 3x12 night schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Travel across campuses, no on-call, and housing/per diem benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience
Epic charting system experience required
IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration experience
Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Shock/trauma care experience including gunshot wounds
Pediatric emergency care experience including head injuries
Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge

Responsibilities

Emergency Department care for general adult/pediatric patients
Patient ratios of about 1:4-5 depending on staffing and volume
Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Weekend commitment: 2 weekends or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
Holiday coverage as needed
No on-call requirements
Travelers may be floated to any campus within the health system
Epic EMR experience required
Provide emergency care across general adult and pediatric populations
Pass a compliance EKG exam with two attempts allowed
Reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates
