American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU travel assignment in New Jersey. Fresh open heart surgical experience and active NJ or Compact RN license required.

You will work in the CVICU on a 13‑week night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:15) with 1:2 to 1:3 patient ratios, including 1:1 for fresh post-operative cardiac patients. Epic charting is used and winter holiday coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as RN in cardiovascular care
• Fresh open heart surgical patient experience essential (CABG, IABP, Impella, TAVR, valve replacement)
• NIHSS and CALS preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• At least 1 supervisory reference required

Responsabilités

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:15)
• Patient ratios 1:2, adjusting to 1:3 by acuity; 1:1 for fresh post-op cardiac patients
• Floating to CCU/CTICU/ICU/stepdown units
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, including fresh post-surgical cardiac cases
• Winter holiday coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers considered
• Local candidates accepted at same rate
• Former RWJBH employees must be separated 1 year before return as traveler

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Stroke CEUs required (NIHSS and CALS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, with fresh heart experience required
• Fresh open heart surgical patient experience required, including CABG, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, TAVR, and valve replacement
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• At least 1 supervisory reference required for consideration

• Former RWJBH employees (FT or PRN) must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
