American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU travel assignment in Washington. The position requires strong CVICU/CCU/ICU background and open-heart recovery skills.

Night shifts are 19:00-07:30 on an 18-week assignment, with a 1:2-3 patient ratio and potential hospital-wide floating. Applicants must hold an active WA license, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS, and have travel contract experience; open-heart recovery and device familiarity (ImPELLA/IABP) are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license in hand.
• Minimum 2-3 years CVICU/CCU/ICU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Open-heart surgery recovery experience required.
• Device experience with Impella, IABP, or similar balloon pumps preferred.
• Experience with CABG, TAVR, and valve repair/replacement preferred.
• Skilled in arterial/central/PICC line management.
• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients.
• Titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Managing dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Travel and prior travel contract experience required.

Responsabilités

• Care in CVICU with post-cardiac surgery patients.
• Night shift schedule: 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30.
• 18-week assignment length.
• Recover fresh open-heart surgery patients from the OR.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2-3.
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on care needs.
• Epic EMR experience used for documentation.
• Provide critical care nursing to post-cardiac surgery and cardiovascular patients.
• Perform cardiac monitoring and interpret 12-lead EKGs.
• Manage CRRT/CVVHD and renal dysfunction.
• Assist with sheath removal and pre/post cardiac cath interventions.
• Complete facility orientation modules signed off by managers.
• Maximum of 5 days RTO per assignment; no block scheduling.

• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide critical care nursing to post-cardiac surgery and cardiovascular patients
• Perform cardiac monitoring including FloTrac/Vigileo and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Manage patients with CRRT/CVVHD and acute/chronic renal failure
• Assist with sheath removal and pre/post cardiac cath interventions
• Complete facility orientation modules signed off by unit managers
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, all requests must be disclosed prior to starting
• No block scheduling permitted
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local travelers
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
