Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring travel experience and intra-aortic balloon pump expertise. The role features a 12-hour night shift (7p–7a), patient ratios of 1–2, and a 36-hour workweek with weekend coverage.

Applicants must have a TN or compact RN license, current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and at least 2 years in CVICU. Prior travel nursing experience and IABP expertise are required; local candidates within 75 miles may be offered a lower rate.

Qualifications

• Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump required

Responsibilities

• 21-bed CVICU unit with patient ratios of 1-2
• Patient population includes ARDS/Pneumonia, Withdrawal, and Cardiogenic Shock cases, ages 18+
• 12-hour night shift, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week
• No block schedule offered; must be flexible to meet unit staffing needs
• Weekend shifts required
• Float to Stepdown/ER as needed
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Unit manages the schedule
• Navy scrubs required
• Must work 2 of 3 holidays
• No time off approved from 9/19 to 10/17 due to Epic Go Live
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate within a 75-mile radius
