American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Nurse for a CVICU night shift in Tulsa, OK. Requires 2+ years CVICU experience and a valid OK or Compact RN license. Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a CVICU night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and a valid OK or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Valid OK or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central/PICC line care
• Experienced in care of ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, and chest tube assistance
• Proficient in CVVHD/CRRT and management of acute/chronic renal failure
• Experienced in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Skilled in CVA/acute stroke management and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with Impella and sheath removal required
• Proficient in IV insulin protocols and management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of a surgical intensive care setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)
• Every other weekend required
• May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed with brief unit orientation
• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients including monitoring, medication management, and emergency response
• Navy scrub color required
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius to be considered for this travel position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
