American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position in Colorado. Requires 2 years of acute care and a CO or compact RN license, with BLS and NIHSS certifications. Epic charting experience preferred.

18-bed unit, 3x12-hour nights, no on-call, every other weekend. Responsibilities include care for cardiac, neurosurgery, and general med-surg patients, with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6.

Qualifications

• Active RN license CO or compact required.
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience.
• Minimum 1 year of charge experience preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.

Responsabilités

• Care on a Cardiac Telemetry unit in a Med-Surg North setting.
• Care for cardiac, cath lab, neurosurgery, and general med-surg patients.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6.
• Use Epic for charting.
• Night shift 19:00–07:30, 3x12-hour days.
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating within scope as needed.
• No on-call requirements.
• Care for post-angiogram, post-cardiac surgery, post-MI patients.
• Complete facility-specific training modules within first week.
• First-time travelers accepted if experience meets requirements.
• Maximum 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with blackout periods.
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth must disclose details.
• Candidates who applied to UCHealth internal positions in last two years are not eligible.
• Returning travelers must wait at least one year before rebooking.
• No blocked scheduling requests.
• Local candidates within 75 miles eligible.

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of charge experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with respiratory care including chest tubes, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy management preferred
• Experience with pre/post neurosurgical and pre/post cardiac surgery patient care preferred

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a Med-Surg North setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, cath lab, and neurosurgery cases alongside general med-surg patients
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
• Uses Epic for charting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30), various days of the week
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• 18 total staffed beds
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Provide nursing care across a mixed cardiac and med-surg patient population, including post-angiogram, post-cardiac surgery, and post-MI patients
• Complete all facility-specific modules within the first week of assignment
• First-time travelers accepted as long as experience requirements are met
• Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during certain weeks
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose prior employment details
• Candidates who applied to UCHealth's internal travel or perm staff positions within the last two years are not eligible for consideration
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for consideration
