Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Terre Haute, IN. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year of RN experience and holds current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with an active IN license or compact state.

You will work on a high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit, administering IV drips, monitoring post-procedure patients, and collaborating with a travel team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (IN state or compact) required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Telemetry/cardiac unit experience required.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Cardiac Telemetry unit (2EA) with 28 beds.
• All patients on continuous telemetry, remotely monitored 24/7 with monitors at the nurses' station.
• Manages cardiac patients including post cardiac cath, afib with RVR, acute CHF, chest pain, NSTEMI, and pacemaker insertions.
• Administers IV drips including Nitro, Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Dobutamine.
• Capable of caring for BiPap patients.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts.
• Scheduling done via self-scheduling in groups through an online payroll system.
• Provides direct patient care within a high-acuity cardiac telemetry environment.
• Access to on-site amenities including a break room with lockers, cafeteria, gift shop, and Starbucks.
• Works alongside a mix of experienced staff and travelers, with roughly 45 traditional travelers currently on site.
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, with reduced pay rate offered for those within 50-100 miles.
• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be accepted.
