Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift position in Portland, OR. The role requires at least 1 year of telemetry experience and proficiency with Epic charting.

Responsibilities include direct patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit, dysrhythmia monitoring, and working 3×12 hour night shifts with a 1:4 patient ratio. Travel and housing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at submission
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac telemetry nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Epic charting experience
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience managing cardiac drips and IV insulin protocols
• IV start and line care expertise
• Experience with pacemakers and post-cath/MI care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Float between units as needed
• Weekend shifts required as team needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Use Epic for charting

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift role requiring at least 1 year of tele experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Requirements

• Active compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac telemetry nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Experience managing cardiac drips, heparin protocols, and IV insulin protocols
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs, central and peripheral line care, and phlebotomy
• Experience with pacemakers and post cardiac cath/angiogram/MI care preferred
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, oxygen administration, and blood product administration preferred
• Pre/post hemodialysis management and wound care/wound vac experience preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for submission

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care hospital setting on a Cardiac Telemetry/MS-Tele unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Floating between units required
• Weekend shifts required per team needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic for charting
• Provide direct patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit including cardiac drip management and dysrhythmia monitoring
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; requests made after offer may not be granted
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Scrub color is unrestricted for most units
• No parking fees at this facility
