Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital assignment in South Carolina. Requires SC/Compact RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Epic EMR experience.

Focus is on cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response in an inpatient telemetry unit. The role includes 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts (1900–0730), with weekends every other week and potential floating to other units based on census needs.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in the field; 1+ years considered.
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience.
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia management.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient adult cardiac telemetry unit setting.
• Cares for adults with life-threatening cardiac/multisystem conditions.
• Manages patients on IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, anticoagulation.
• Performs/assists with procedures: IV meds, thrombolytics, defibrillation, cardioversion, EKG, vitals.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours from 1900 to 0730.
• Weekend coverage every other weekend; may rotate.
• Floating to similar units or facilities as needed.
• Orientation and compliance training weekly and annually.

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position requiring SC/compact RN licensure and cardiac monitoring expertise.

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in the field required, though candidates with 1+ years of recent unit experience will be considered
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Responsibilities

• Inpatient adult cardiac telemetry unit setting
• Cares for adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
• Manages patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
• Performs or assists with vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours from 1900 to 0730
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating required to similar units or other facilities depending on census needs
• Provides direct patient care for cardiac telemetry patients, including monitoring and emergency response as needed
• Floating to other units or campuses within the health system may be required based on census needs, limited to units where competency has been demonstrated
• Orientation occurs every Monday along with annual compliance training
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Candidates must be located more than 100 miles from any facility in the health system to be eligible for full travel rate, with reduced rate options for those 90-99.9 miles away
• Night shift travelers in this specialty must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus, with full rate granted at 100+ miles and reduced rate for 50-99.9 miles
