American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a Cardiac Telemetry/MedSurg Tele CMU unit assignment. The role requires a CA RN license, BLS and NIHSS, and a minimum of 2 years in cardiac telemetry with EPIC charting experience.

You will care for adults and geriatrics on a 3x12 hour night schedule (19:00–07:30) with weekend coverage as needed. Local candidates may be offered a lower rate; first-time travelers are welcome.

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• EKG test required onsite.
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with pacemakers and post-procedural cardiac care.
• Proficient in central, PICC, and peripheral line care.
• Blood product administration and phlebotomy experience.
• IV insulin and heparin protocols knowledge.
• Managing cardiac/vasoactive drips (no titration).
• CVA care, ortho/trauma, and joint replacement knowledge.
• Chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation.
• Wound care/wound VAC and isolation precautions.
• Bladder irrigation and post-hemodialysis management.
• One professional reference within 2 years.

Responsabilidades

• Work in the Cardiac Telemetry/MedSurg Tele CMU unit.
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
• Shift schedule is 3x12 hour nights (1900-0730).
• Every other weekend coverage required; weekend shifts as needed.
• Floating to MedSurg and ED hold based on census.
• Use Omnicell and EPIC for documentation.
• Communication follows SBAR protocol.
• Provide comprehensive cardiac telemetry nursing care and rapid response coordination.
• Manage complex cardiovascular, renal, neurological, and GI needs.
• Float within the hospital based on census.
• Navy blue or solid color scrub attire.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring 2 years of cardiac tele experience and a CA RN license in hand.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• EKG test required onsite
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required - no exceptions
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with pacemakers (temporary/permanent), post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, and TAVR
• Proficient in central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care and management
• Experience with blood product administration and phlebotomy
• Skilled in IV insulin protocols and heparin protocols
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Knowledge of CVA care, ortho trauma, and total joint replacement management
• Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Skilled in wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions
• Experience with continuous bladder irrigation and pre/post hemodialysis management
• One professional reference required (within 2 years)

Responsibilities

• Floating required to MedSurg and ED hold based on census
• Uses Omnicell medication system and EPIC for documentation
• Communication follows SBAR protocol
• Provide comprehensive cardiac telemetry nursing care including on-the-unit monitoring and rapid response/code team coordination
• Manage patients with complex cardiovascular, renal, neurological, and gastrointestinal needs
• Required to float within the hospital based on patient census
• Scrub attire required in navy blue or solid colors
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be submitted for consideration prior to assignment start; no additions after submission
• Previous permanent staff of the facility are not eligible for consideration
