Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN with 2+ years of cardiac/telemetry experience for a night shift assignment in Wisconsin. Active WI or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and EPIC charting are required. Typical shift is 19:00–07:00 with 1:4–5 patient ratio and every other weekend.

First-time travelers welcome; non-local by distance expected. Housing and licensure reimbursements are part of the benefits package, along with travel support and per diem options.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac/telemetry nursing experience required.
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with post-MI and pre/post cardiac surgery care.
• Experience with IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, and renal failure management.
• Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management.
• Proficient in IV therapy, chest tube care, nasal cannula use, and wound care.
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing.
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Telemetry unit of a hospital setting.
• Care for MS, MS/Tele, and Telemetry patients, with floating to all care areas as needed.
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4-5.
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00).
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call requirement.
• May need to participate in holiday coverage.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Provide direct nursing care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and telemetry management.
• Manage complex cardiac, renal, and post-surgical patient needs.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and not accepted for this position.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler at this facility; a 6-month break is required before returning.
