Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Service Technician to service and support existing customers, respond to service calls, and handle small projects. The role involves frequent travel to Cheyenne, WY and offers a path for growth within a strong, values-driven culture.

You will work with fire alarm and electronic security systems, requiring advanced programming, troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical aptitude. A valid driver’s license and customer-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: 5-7 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems.
• Preferred Experience: CCTV (Milestone/Genetec), Access Control (AMAG/Lenel/Genetec/Software House-CCURE/S2), Intrusion (DMP/Bosch).
• Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and non-routine service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency after-hours service calls promptly.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; install projects as necessary.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customers and Convergint for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Use troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Act as the customer’s best service provider to ensure Convergint is the first choice for service.
