Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience and strong orthopedic and neurologic skills in Michigan. This role requires active Michigan licensure (if applicable) and BLS certification.

You’ll work in an outpatient setting with 1:1 patient ratios, using Epic for charting, and enjoy a day shift with no on-call duties. Responsibilities include patient assessment, home exercise programs, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent PT experience required
• Michigan state license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Orthopedic and neurologic treatment skills required
• Experience with conditions like low back pain, cervicalgia, post-op orthopedic/ spinal surgeries, total hip/knee replacements
• Experience with neurologic conditions including stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, MS, and muscular dystrophy
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required

Responsibilities

• Outpatient PT setting with 1:1 patient ratio
• 4x10 or 5x8 schedules, day shift, with three required shifts until 6pm
• No call, weekend, or float requirements
• Uses Epic for charting
• Patient assessment, home exercise programs, and patient/family education
• Proof of flu vaccination at submission with 48-hour exemption requests window
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days
• Travelers float first when needed
• Local candidates accepted at same rate with no radius restrictions
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• First-time travelers not considered for this role
• Supervisor-level references required
