American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ years of experience and BLS certification for a day-shift assignment serving acute care, long-term care and outpatient populations in Alaska.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide body mechanics training and patient education.
• Coordinate care for inpatient, LTC, and outpatient populations.
• Work with day-shift schedule options (5x8 or 4x10).
• Perform patient assessments and establish care plans.
• Ensure compliance with scope and guidelines.

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ years of experience and BLS certification for a day-shift assignment serving acute care, LTC, and outpatient patients.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in outpatient, acute care, and LTC/SNF settings required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience treating orthopedic conditions including post-op cervical, shoulder, and spinal surgery, total hip and knee replacement, low back pain, and cervicalgia
• Experience treating neurologic conditions including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and muscular dystrophy
• Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education
• Pending license accepted
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Department serves hospital inpatient and swing bed, long-term care (LTC), and outpatient populations
• Day shift schedule offering 5x8 or 4x10 hour options, traveler's choice
• Block scheduling accommodations available
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside of scope
• Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks, traveler's choice
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, body mechanics training, and development of individualized treatment plans
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former Providence permanent staff must have a 3-month separation period before returning as a traveler
• Time off is approved on an individual basis upon offer
