Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a critical access hospital. Requires at least 1 year of PT experience and BLS certification.

Licensure is required where applicable, with experience in orthopedic, gait training, and neurological care preferred. Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation for outpatient orthopedic and neurological cases in a hospital outpatient unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience.
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with orthopedic conditions, gait training, and modalities preferred.
• Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and use of assistive/adaptive devices.
• Experience with geriatric and neurological populations preferred.
• Knowledge of home exercise programs and patient/family education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation for outpatient orthopedic and neurological cases.
• Setting: Outpatient Clinic within a critical access hospital's PT Outpatient unit.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10 hours (6:45 AM-5:00 PM), with flexibility for 8 or 10 hour shifts.
• Floating within hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities.
• No weekend shifts required.
• Utilizes Cerner charting system; experience preferred but not required.

• Experience with orthopedic conditions, gait training, and modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, and traction preferred
• Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and use of assistive/adaptive devices
• Experience with geriatric and neurological patient populations preferred
• Knowledge of home exercise programs and patient/family education preferred

Responsibilities

• Setting: Outpatient Clinic within a critical access hospital's PT Outpatient unit
• Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10 hours (6:45 AM-5:00 PM), with flexibility for 8 or 10 hour shifts

• Free parking available with a permit obtained during orientation
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous PERM or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• RTO requests are subject to facility approval, with up to 5 non-holiday days eligible for auto-approval
• Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility
