American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience to treat orthopedic and musculoskeletal patients in a clinic setting.

Position features a 13-week contract with day shifts, 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, about 8 patients per day, and a 75% productivity target. First-time travelers accepted; pending state license accepted; travel-friendly housing provided and Epic charting used daily.

Qualifications

• Epic charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient PT in hospital clinic setting.
• Maintain clinic hours 7:00 AM–6:30 PM, Mon–Fri; schedule to discuss with candidate.
• Manage a daily patient load of ~8 with 75% productivity.
• Use Epic for charting; treat low back pain, cervical pain, post-op surgeries, and general orthopedics.
• No weekend/on-call requirements; no floating to sister facilities.

Job description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience to treat orthopedic and musculoskeletal patients in a clinic setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• MO state license required; license required if applicable
• Experience with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions preferred, including DDD, DJD, frozen shoulder, hip fractures, and post-op spinal/shoulder surgeries
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in modalities such as cervical traction, cryotherapy, e-stim, iontophoresis, moist heat, phonophoresis, and ultrasound
• Experience with equipment including gait belts, shoulder slings, and traction tables
• Knowledge of home exercise programs, patient/family education, and safety/injury prevention

Responsibilities

• Outpatient hospital clinic setting within the PT Outpatient department
• Clinic hours are 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with specific schedule to be discussed with candidate
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts
• Daily patient load of approximately 8 patients
• Productivity standard of 75%
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating to sister facilities required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Treats conditions including low back pain, cervical pain, post-op shoulder surgeries, total knee arthroplasty, general orthopedics, and balance/falls
• First-time travelers accepted
• Pending state license accepted at time of consideration
• Local candidates not accepted within 75-mile radius
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
• Standard travelers must reside outside a 75-mile radius and may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Business casual dress code
• Contract length is firm at 13 weeks
