Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will care for patients requiring close monitoring but not ICU-level care, using monitoring equipment and performing bedside care, IV starts, dressings, and medication administration.

The assignment emphasizes patient observation and timely intervention in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• PCU/step-down experience is preferred.
• ACLS, BLS and NIH certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action from monitoring data.
