Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. The PCU RN will care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, with 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, starting 09/28/2026 for 14 weeks.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications. Responsibilities include bedside care, IV starts, medication administration, and monitoring equipment in a fast-paced PCU setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.
• PCU travel nurse responsible for monitoring and patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret electronic data to detect changes.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring information.
