Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The PCU Travel Nurse will care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, with responsibilities including medication administration, essential vitals monitoring, and use of advanced monitoring equipment. This role demands adaptability to a fast-paced environment and teamwork with the unit staff.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIH certification may be required.
• Start date ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Monitor cardiac and other vitals, titrate medications as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications and document treatments.
• Operate and monitor patient care equipment and record findings.
• Assist in rapid response situations and coordinate with the care team.
