Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. The PCU RN provides care for patients needing close monitoring with frequent assessments, often in a step-down setting.

The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and involves 12-hour night shifts and a 13-week assignment. The position offers travel compensation with a tax-free stipend and a comprehensive benefits package through TotalMed RN, a leading travel healthcare

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required.
• NIH certification may be required before assignment.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret displays to detect changes.
• Respond to life-threatening situations and escalate as needed.
