TotalMed RN in Omaha, NE is seeking a travel nurse RN for the PCU - Progressive Care Unit. This 13-week travel assignment requires 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts, starting ASAP.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications. The role involves caring for patients needing close monitoring, using telemetry, and coordinating care with the team to respond quickly to changes.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification may be required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse signs.
