Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations team member to support new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and ongoing Field Operations. You will train drivers and managers, write process docs, perform system testing, and contribute to design-level consulting for new product pieces.

Expect extensive travel (75–80%). You must be willing to relocate temporarily to new locations and work under startup guidelines to ensure success.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• 2+ years relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 1+ year direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• MS Office proficiency; advanced Excel/PowerPoint/Access useful.
• Logistics industry knowledge; understanding of local and federal regs.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production.

Responsibilities

• Flawless startup execution focused on customer critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and tracking.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and ensure consistency of operations.
