Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Optical Engineer to lead work in customer environments and co-locations.

You will ensure reliable installation, maintenance and operation of optical transport and infrastructure within customer data centers, interfacing between customers and Ericsson vendors. Expect high-quality execution from the team across installations, migrations and remote hands services, with potential long travel to non-home markets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in data center operations
• Excellent written and verbal English for customer interactions
• Strong organizational and documentation skills using Office tools
• 3–15 years in data center operations or similar environments with customer contact
• Hands-on fiber optic cabling experience (single-mode/multi-mode, LC, fan-outs)
• Experience with optical testing and transport troubleshooting
• Ability to multitask under high-availability conditions
• Commitment to safety standards and best practices
