Job summary

Ericsson Inc. seeks a Data Center Optical Engineer to lead optical transport and infrastructure work in customer data centers and co-locations. You will ensure reliable installation, maintenance, and operation, interface with customers and vendors, and supervise a hands-on team across installations, migrations, and remote hands services.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading field teams in data center environments with customer interaction.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of connectorized fiber and structured cabling.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily audits of Ericsson work in customer data centers and provide feedback to technicians.
  • Interact with customers via tickets or in person, delivering clear reports and updates.
  • Assist with fiber installation, decommissioning, break/fix, remediation and migrations.
  • Conduct and supervise optical testing and troubleshooting with tests and tools.
  • Deliver services by interpreting and executing MoPs, engineering docs, vendor docs and diagrams.
  • Read cut sheets and network design documents to ensure correct port connections and cable management.
