Ericsson Inc. seeks a Data Center Optical Engineer to lead optical transport in customer data centers and co-locations. You will ensure reliable installation, maintenance, and operation of optical infrastructure while interfacing with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center optical transport and maintenance.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to non-home markets.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with fiber cabling and testing.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Audit daily work at customer data centers and provide feedback to technicians.
• Interact with customers via ticketing tools or in person, providing clear reports.
• Assist with fiber installation, decommissioning, break/fix, remediation and migrations.
• Conduct and/or supervise optical testing and troubleshooting using meters, light sources, VFLs, OTDRs, test sets.
• Deliver services by following MoPs, vendor docs, and network diagrams.
• Read cut sheets and design docs to ensure correct port connections.
