Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio and operate with Epic EMR for charting.
• Handle equipment documentation, instrument processing, and sterilization/disinfection.
• Participate in universal protocol procedures prior to cases.

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Technician with 1+ years of experience and Epic EMR skills to support endoscopic procedures in a hospital setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS required; CST preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred, ideally in the endoscopic procedural space
• Experience with colonoscopy, EGD, laparoscopic-assisted cases, and PEG tube placement/exchange preferred
• Familiarity with Provation, crash carts, high-level disinfectants, flexible endoscope reprocessing, and sterilization/decontamination processes
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, sharps safety, and specimen handling
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Endoscopy Unit providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to adult inpatients and outpatients, with pediatric services per policy
• Procedures performed across multiple locations including the first-floor Endoscopy Unit for moderate sedation cases and second- and fourth-floor Operating Rooms for MAC or general anesthesia cases
• Fourth-floor OR primarily supports inpatient procedures; a dedicated Outpatient Surgery Center room is used Wednesdays for MAC endoscopies
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Utilizes Epic EMR for charting
• Support a variety of endoscopic procedures across multiple surgical and procedural settings to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Responsible for equipment documentation, instrument processing, and sterilization/disinfection practices
• Participate in universal protocol (time-out) procedures prior to cases
• Candidates must complete Ohio BCI & FBI fingerprinting promptly after accepting an offer, as this is a required compliance step
• Former employees eligible for assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this facility
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into contract, limited to 7 days or less
• First-time travelers may be considered, especially with relevant endoscopic experience
