Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent experience in this specialty and setting.
• Valid professional license or registration as required by this state
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA recommended and may be required
• Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required

American Traveler is hiring a travel Endoscopy Tech with 2+ years of hospital Endoscopy experience and CFER certification for a 13-week assignment at a busy GI unit.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience in a hospital setting required
• Current BLS certification required
• CFER (Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Familiarity with Olympus endoscopes, medivators, and leak testing required
• Knowledge of colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, bronchoscope, and EUS procedures required
• Endoscope reprocessing knowledge and skills required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Hospital Endoscopy unit with 9 pre/post beds and 4 procedure rooms
• Patient ratios of 1:1 during procedures and 1-3 during pre/post care
• Procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, BARRX ablations, bronchoscopy, Bravo placement, HET, TIF, EBUS, and EUS
• Uses Olympus endoscopes, Steris, Conmed, ERBE, and Boston Scientific equipment
• Utilizes Expanse Provation documentation system
• Monday-Friday schedule, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• On-call coverage required weeknights 5:30 PM-7:00 AM and 24-hour coverage on weekends
• May float to main OR or Sterile Processing Department during low volume periods
• Work alongside a collaborative team of 3 full-time Endo Techs
• Supportive providers who value techs as integral members of the care team
• Hospital-provided scrubs with closed-toe shoes required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
