Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 13-week day shift contract in Austin, TX. The role requires a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of Endoscopy experience, with BLS certification and no expiring credentials within 30 days.

Responsibilities include procedures like EGD, Colonoscopy, GI bleeds, ERCP in a hospital Endoscopy unit with 2 RNs and 3 techs, using Meditech EMR. On-call 1–2 days/week; 6:30 AM–3:00 PM; first-time travelers welcomed.

Qualifications

• TX or compact RN license required.
• 1 year of Endoscopy experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• No certifications expiring within 30 days of start.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required.
• One professional reference required.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Endoscopy unit with 2 procedure rooms.
• Unit staffed with 2 RNs and 3 Techs on day shift.
• 1:1 patient ratios.
• Performs procedures including EGD, Colonoscopy, GI Bleeds, and ERCP.
• Uses GI equipment and scopes.
• Meditech EMR used.
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
• No weekend shifts required.
• On-call required 1-2 days per week.
• Provide direct patient care for GI and Endoscopy procedures in a fast-paced procedural environment.
• Facility provides Ceil Blue scrubs.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
