Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is expanding its Home Network and seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to perform in-home imaging visits on a per-visit basis. This is a per diem, 1099 independent contractor role traveling regionally to patients' homes.

Responsibilities include transporting and setting up portable ultrasound equipment, performing echocardiograms and vascular imaging, and documenting findings with ASE-style quality standards. Travel expenses are reimbursed per visit.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS or RCS and RVT or RVS).
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; comfortable with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or regionally to patient homes for in-home imaging visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during imaging.
• Label images correctly for review and complete preliminary reports.
• Follow ASE standards and image-quality guidelines.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
