Job summary

Hawthorne Health in the United States is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to join our per diem Home Network. You will travel regionally to patient homes to perform in-home cardiac and vascular imaging visits, with pay on a per-visit basis and per diem terms.

You will set up portable ultrasound equipment, explain procedures, obtain consent, and deliver preliminary reports. Travel expenses like mileage, airfare, and hotel are reimbursed per visit; ASE standards followed.

Qualifications

• Active registration in both cardiac and vascular imaging (e.g., RDCS or RCS plus RVT or RVS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; proficient with digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes for visits; volume varies by region.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image labeling for cardiology review; complete preliminary report.
• Maintain ASE standards and perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
