Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Professional pharmacy technician certification required; CPTCB preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as a pharmacy or admixture technician.
• IV sterile admixture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders to ensure accuracy, ascertain products needed and evaluate suitability.
• Perform mathematical calculations to determine drug measurements for admixture.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as ordered by the prescriber in a timely manner.
• Properly don and doff garb to ensure aseptic preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous drugs.
• Understand PPE usage and limitations to ensure proper function and safety.
• Maintain records and logs including clinical trials, waste manifests, and temperature logs.
• Order, stock, and dispense medical supplies and drugs; manage inventory and reconciliations.
• Complete required education and training per regulations and company policy.
• Properly handle and dispose of hazardous drugs per USP and OSHA guidelines.
• Ensure temperature monitoring of ambient and refrigerated drugs; report discrepancies.
• Collaborate with departments to coordinate patient drug orders and minimize interruptions.
• Travel 75%-100% weekly for clinic coverage; adhere to Driver Safety Policy.
