Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking an Admixture Tech II to perform complex drug preparation under supervision. The role includes sterile and non-sterile admixture, inventory management, and collaboration with Physicians, Nursing, and Pharmacy Operations to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

The position requires a high school diploma, pharmacy tech certification (PTCB), and at least one year of experience; travel to clinics is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred.
• Professional pharmacy technician certification (or equivalent) is required; PTCB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for accuracy and determine products needed.
• Calculate drug measurements for admixture of ordered medications.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as ordered by the prescriber.
• Perform proper donning/doffing to ensure aseptic preparation.
• Maintain records and logs related to clinical trials, waste, temperatures, and inventories.
• Order, stock, and dispense medical supplies and drugs; ensure patient safety.
