Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute seeks an Admixture Tech II to prepare hazardous and nonhazardous agents under supervision. You will manage sterile/non-sterile medications, maintain inventory, and liaise with Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Operations, and Procurement to ensure patient care continuity.

Role requires understanding cabinets and antineoplastic agents, with travel 75–100% weekly for floats.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional pharmacy technician certification (or equivalent) required; preferably CPhT.
• Minimum of one year experience as a pharmacy or admixture technician; IV sterile admixture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders to ensure accuracy and select products.
• Perform calculations for admixture of ordered medications.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as ordered by the prescriber.
• Don and doff PPE to ensure aseptic preparation; follow safety protocols.
• Maintain records/logs for clinical trials, waste, temperatures and compliance.
