Job summary

WellLife Network in New York offers a Program Social Worker/Supervisor role focused on leadership in clinical oversight within the Children’s Community Residence. You’ll balance counseling, supervision, and administrative duties to ensure safe, trauma‑informed services for transition‑aged youth and their families, driving quality and compliance.

The position emphasizes crisis management, Medicaid/SSI processes, and collaboration with Program Directors, schools, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work preferred; BSW considered with substantial relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working with youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance; some supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong crisis management, clinical judgment, counseling, and care coordination skills.
• Knowledge of OMH/OSHA standards; licensed driver in NY.
• Ability to collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 clinical and crisis support to staff, youth, and families; consult with the Program Director on major incidents.
• Oversee staff orientation, training, and supervision; ensure compliance with OMH/OSHA standards.
• Lead counseling approaches, trauma-informed engagement, and behavioral interventions.
• Assist with admissions, intake counseling, and coordination of referrals and transitions.
• Support Medicaid/SSI billing and documentation; help with service plan goals and discharge planning.
• Maintain timely documentation of counseling sessions and program activities.
• Provide transportation for youth to participate in activities and appointments.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and professional development.
