Job summary

The International Rescue Committee in Sacramento is seeking a UHP Caseworker to provide trauma-informed services and support refugees toward self-sufficiency. You will assess needs, coordinate access to housing, medical care, education, and benefits, and maintain detailed case notes.

The role requires strong communication, data-entry accuracy, and collaboration across IRC programs and external partners, including government agencies and community providers.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience in human services preferred.
• Ability to work with refugee/immigrant populations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre- and post-arrival services to assist clients with housing, food, medical care, and transportation.
• Provide client-centered case management and referrals to public benefits and services.
• Conduct intake, develop self-sufficiency plans, and document progress in case files.
