Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Sacramento seeks an UHP Caseworker to provide trauma-informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants, supporting a positive resettlement and client self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities include intake, develop self-sufficiency plans, connect to public benefits, housing, medical care, school/ESL enrollment, and transportation; document interactions in database and report as required.

Qualifications

• Associate or BA degree or 1+ years of related professional experience in human services.
• Experience with refugee/immigrant populations preferred.
• Fluent English; Ukrainian or Russian spoken by IRC's clients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre- and post-arrival services ensuring housing, food, medical care, and transportation.
• Provide client-centered case management including benefits, housing, medical care, school/ESL enrollment, and referrals.
• Conduct intake and develop self-sufficiency plans; document interactions and track progress.
