Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Trauma ICU on a part-time day shift. The role supports the care team by assisting with personal care, specimen collection, and data gathering under licensed supervision.

Requirements include a high school degree, BLS, CPI training within set timelines, and 8 weeks of patient care education or relevant study. English proficiency is essential; bilingual candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required; BLS and CPI training required.
• English language proficiency required; bilingual preferred.
• 8 weeks of Patient Care education or direct patient care experience required; or enrolled in a nursing school or physician assistant program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care under supervision.
• Assist patients with personal care needs and participate in care plan.
• Collect test specimens and perform limited laboratory tasks as directed.
• Communicate observations to Clinical Associate.
• Maintain confidentiality and support team objectives.
