Job summary

FreshPoint, Inc. in Denver seeks a Transportation Supervisor to support the transportation manager in supervising delivery and backhaul operations, training staff, ensuring compliance with DOT and other government regulations, and promoting safety within the department.

The role covers supervising daily activities, coordinating schedules, monitoring performance metrics, and liaising with warehouse and customer service to address delivery issues while maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor- or higher-level degree preferred or equivalent combined with experience.
• 2–4 years transportation experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of transportation associates.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA).
• Monitor labor hours and consumables within budget.
• Prepare work schedules and shifts as needed.
• Assist with training and cross-training of associates.
• Coordinate repairs and use of company assets to support delivery.
• Review productivity reports and implement efficiency improvements.
• Enforce company policies, DOT regulations, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with warehouse and customer service to resolve delivery issues.
• Visit customer sites to address delivery challenges.
