Job summary

Performance Food Group seeks a Transportation Supervisor to oversee driver teams, ensure safe and timely deliveries, and support DOT compliance. The role includes supervising staff, coordinating training, and monitoring vehicle safety while maintaining essential driver paperwork.

This position partners with the Transportation/Operations Manager to optimize routes, control costs, and ensure reliable service to customers in the distribution network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years transportation experience with knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Experience operating computerized fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Schedules deliveries and ensures timely deliveries/pickups; rides with drivers for training.
• Assists in DOT/logs, regulatory compliance and data entry in fleet system.
• Monitors vehicle safety, ramp use, seat belts and safe material handling.
• Maintains driver paperwork including DVIR, invoices and trip reports.
• Oversees truck, tractor and trailer maintenance and post-trip inspections.
• Collaborates to minimize operating expenses and optimize routes.
