Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of transportation experience.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Certificate of DOT regulations training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT/OSHA rules and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of transportation associates and adherence to SOPs.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA).
• Oversees labor hours and budget for consumables.
• Prepares work schedules including extra shifts.
• Trains new associates and cross-trains existing staff.
• Directs proper use of company assets for delivery.
• Coordinates repairs with relevant departments as needed.
• Reviews delivery performance and suggests efficiency improvements.
• Enforces company policies and procedures, including food safety and record-keeping.
• Communicates with warehouse and customer service to resolve issues.
• Visits customer locations to address delivery challenges.
• Maintains positive associate relations and regular communications.
• Supports safety manager with training and incident investigations.
