Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a driver supervisor to oversee the operations of the transportation team and ensure safe, on-time deliveries. You will monitor DOT logs, coordinate driver scheduling, and support the Transportation/Operations Manager with daily tasks.

The role requires 2-4 years in transportation with DOT knowledge, plus experience with fleet management systems. A strong focus on safety and efficiency is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years in transportation or related field with DOT and safety knowledge.
• Experience operating computerized fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers, including staffing, coaching and performance management.
• Coordinate scheduling to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Ride with drivers for training and evaluation when needed.
• Assist manager with day-to-day transportation operations and payroll review.
• Ensure DOT logs and driver paperwork are accurate and compliant.
• Maintain vehicle safety, equipment checks and post-trip inspections.
