Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to provide strategic leadership for transportation safety, regulatory compliance, and fleet operations.

You will partner with operations leadership to drive safety initiatives, oversee audits, and use metrics to reduce risk while supporting safe transportation networks. You will lead the Safety and Equipment Teams, manage training programs, and ensure compliance with FMCSA and company policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSRs, ELDs, Hours of Service requirements, and DOT drug and alcohol testing programs.
• Experience managing transportation safety, regulatory compliance, and fleet equipment programs.
• Experience conducting root cause investigations, incident management, insurance claims administration, and corrective action planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to the Safety Team, establishing performance expectations and developing talent.
• Provide leadership and oversight to the Equipment Team, ensuring fleet asset management and preventive maintenance compliance.
• Lead transportation safety and DOT compliance programs in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
• Oversee driver qualification, onboarding, compliance monitoring, and safety training programs.
• Administer the DOT Random Drug and Alcohol Testing Program and related compliance requirements.
• Lead DOT audits, inspections, and safety reviews and maintain compliance records.
